We took these snapshots back in March, right after Acne showed their autumn/winter 2015 collection. It seemed like it was going to take an eternity for them to hit stores – but September has creeped up on us and the fall collections are here. In the meanwhile there have been so many new collections, lookbooks, shoes, clothes and new magazines to take in the past few months – but I sure did not forget about this black pair with metallic heel.
There were a lot of references to trash (in the literal sense of the word) and recycling in that that Acne collection. I imagine these heels being made out of crushed together metal at a recycling facility. The rest of the shoe reminds me of of boots I had in high school (circa 2001-2005) where only the ‘shoe’ of the boot would be hard and the top of the boot would be like a leather zip up sock.
